Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Fayetteville offers a comprehensive, multi-level Gracie Jiu-Jitsu curriculum developed by Royce Gracie, adhering closely to his teachings for all experience levels.
Our program includes hundreds of techniques that could be crucial in real-world situations, covering self-defense, grappling, weapon defense, law enforcement/military applications, and a curriculum for kids.
Originally, Grandmaster Helio’s self-defense system was only available through private lessons. Royce Gracie created our program to allow students to learn his father’s techniques in a group setting.
This is the official curriculum of the Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network.
Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructors are unique due to their direct lineage to the Gracie family, which pioneered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
They emphasize fundamental techniques and self-defense, teaching methods that reflect Royce Gracie’s emphasis on efficiency, leverage, and practical application for all body types.
Their structured curriculum, rooted in traditional principles and the historical context of the art, ensures a comprehensive and authentic training experience.
Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (RGJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting techniques. It emphasizes the use of leverage, technique, and strategy to control and submit opponents, making it effective for self-defense and competition.
No prior experience is required! Our classes cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Our instructors will guide you at your own pace.
For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing such as a rash guard, t-shirt, and shorts without zippers. If you have a gi (kimono), bring it along. We also have rental or loaner gis available for beginners.
We offer both gi and no-gi classes. While a gi is required for traditional classes, no-gi training allows for rash guards and grappling shorts. Beginners can start without a gi and purchase one later.
Training frequency depends on your goals and schedule. Beginners may start with 2-3 classes per week, while advanced students and competitors often train daily. Consistency is key!
